ACT! Tips and Tricks - March 2003

I have a number of contacts in my ACT! database that I have not had any contact with over the past several years.  How can I easily find and remove these contacts from my database?

ACT! 6 has a new feature that makes this easy to do:

  1. On the menu bar, select Lookup and then Contact Activity.
  2. When the Contact Activity windows appears, choose the following settings:

  1. In the "Search for:" area, select the cut-off date.
  2. In the above example, the results of this lookup will list any contacts that have NOT been modified since 3/11/2001.
  3. Click Find Now
  4. With the results, you can do you of two things:
  1. Either delete the contacts by choosing from the menu bar Contact, then Delete Contact and finally Delete Lookup.
  2. Create a "Contact Archive" group and assign this lookup to the group.

I like the ACT! Tips and Tricks that Compass Technology sends each month.  How can I find additional ACT! Tips and Tricks?
