ACT! Tips and
Tricks - March 2003
I have a number of contacts in my ACT!
database that I have not had any contact with over the past several
years. How can I easily find and remove these contacts from my
database?
ACT! 6 has a new feature that makes this easy
to do:
- On the menu bar, select Lookup and then
Contact Activity.
- When the Contact Activity windows
appears, choose the following settings:

- In the "Search for:" area,
select the cut-off date.
- In the above example, the results of
this lookup will list any contacts that have NOT been modified since
3/11/2001.
- Click Find Now
- With the results, you can do you of two things:
- Either delete the contacts by
choosing from the menu bar Contact, then Delete
Contact and finally Delete Lookup.
- Create a "Contact Archive"
group and assign this lookup to the group.
