ACT! Tips and Tricks - May 2003

ACT! 6.03 is now available.  I am using ACT! 6.0 and I would like to know if I need this free software update! 

The ACT! 6.03 free update is now available via download to current ACT! 6.0 users. This release provides Eudora support, e-mail performance improvements, and enhanced e-mail capabilities such as:

• Ability to type-ahead e-mail addresses in messages to contacts in your database
• BCC field stays when added
• Use strikeout, superscript and subscript
• Mark messages read and unread
• Add/remove columns and set width
• Create an activity from an e-mail message
• Create multiple signatures

1. To download the update from ACT!, on the menu bar select Help, Check for Updates
2.  If that does not work, click here and you will be asked if you want to save or run the program. Choose Save.  When the download is complete, run the program from the location that it was saved to.

I want to e-mail contact information from ACT! to people that do not have ACT! What is the easiest way to do this?

1. Lookup the contact record that you want to e-mail.
2. From the menu bar, choose Edit, Copy.
3. Write an e-mail to the person that you want to send the information to.
4. Position the cursor in the e-mail body. 
5. Right-mouse click and choose Paste
6. You will notice that contact, company, address, city, state, zip code and phone number is included.

I need to buy another copy of ACT!   Where should I buy it and how much can I expect to pay for it?
